Apple introduced a demo for ARKit 2 at WWDC 2018, showing off the big new feature for augmented reality on iOS: multi-user experiences, and multiplayer gaming. Now, it's possible for multiple people using iOS devices to view the same augmented reality scenario in the same app simultaneously. Apple today announced a new augmented reality file format called Universal Scene Description during its keynote event at WWDC in San Jose, California.
Apple explained that USDZ is an open file format optimized for sharing Augmented Reality assets in a compact, single file.
Adobe confirmed during the keynote that it will have native support for Apple's new AR file format in its entire suite of Creative Cloud software applications.
