Apple stock holders are in for a treat today as just before noon Eastern time Apple crossed the threshold of being the first publicly traded US company in history to exceed a one trillion dollar market cap as individual shares blew past $207. Yesterday Apple had its best quarter ever , posting revenue of $53.3 billion and net quarterly profit of $11.5 billion. Apple has officially become the world's only trillion dollar publicly traded company, in terms of market capitalization, which is simply the company's number of outstanding shares multiplied by its stock price.
Apple achieved this milestone by hitting a stock price of $207.05 and above in intraday trading today, giving it a market cap slightly over $1,000,000,000,000, based on its 4,829,926,000 outstanding shares as of July 20, 2018, which the company disclosed in its quarterly 10-Q filing with the SEC on Wednesday.

Apple has succeeded in becoming the first public company to hit a trillion dollars... although it depends who you ask. Due to a discrepancy in the count of total available shares, Yahoo is reporting that Apple has already hit the $1tn mark.
Google Finance reports Apple is at around 942 billion. With the updated share count, Apple stock has to cross the $207 level to officially reach the milestone.
