One of the changes that Apple made in iOS 11 is the introduction of free trials and introductory pricing for subscription-based apps. Prior to this, users who wanted to sign up for a subscription simply did just that, no discounted introductory pricing or a free trial. However that has changed and Apple wants you to know that. Not sure you want to pony up for a month- or year-long subscription to an app? App Store and developers are now offering free trials on selected apps.
Launch the App Store. Tap on the "Apps" tab. Scroll down to "Try it for Free". Hit "See All". And there it is - a list of subscription apps that are currently being offered with free trials.
Apple has been heavily expanding and promoting subscriptions lately as a model for more apps and as a way for more developers to build sustainable businesses. But customers can be wary of signing up sight unseen.
