Apple removes app that allowed teens to hide photos behind a real calculator

Apple has yanked the Calculator% app from the App Store. The app allowed users to hide secret photos behind a real functioning calculator, which made it a favorite among enterprising teenagers. U.K. police say that Calculator% figures in a current investigation, and child welfare groups spoke out against it. The earliest complaint about the app dates back to 2015 when U.S. district attorney Pamela Casey warned parents about it on her Facebook page.

As traditional console and PC games continue to invade mobile app stores around the world, Konami announced this week that a new Castlevania game is currently in development for iOS devices. Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls will be the same side-scrolling action game that fans of the series are familiar with, but will also include both cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes, as well as a four-player boss rush mode and in-game music player.
