YouTube gets covert with new Incognito mode for Android

YouTube has always allowed you to delete selected items from your watch history, but now Android users can take that a step further. The YouTube app's new Incognito Mode will let you watch videos without ever leaving a digital trail of evidence in the first place (your IP address will still be recorded, so it's probably best that you don't go crazy at work). Android 9.0 P will be released to the public in August 2018, but beta testers can already install it on Google's own Pixel devices and a select few other phones. In the latest release, there's a fairly hidden setting that lets you enable a system-wide dark theme that changes the look of your Quick Settings panel and other menus.
It's similar to the automatic system theme that was introduced in Android 8.1 Oreo, except you no longer have to use a black or dark wallpaper to trigger it. Instead, you can manually choose a light theme, dark theme, or the existing automatic theme.

Starting Aug. 1, 2018, Google's getting a lot tougher with Android app developers. New apps being uploaded to the Play Store will have to target Android 8.0 Oreo or higher, then a few months later, every update to existing apps will have to do the same.
