In short: Google started making some concrete moves aimed at complying with the antitrust order the European Commission issued this summer, alleging the American technology giant abused the dominant position of its Android operating system in order to promote its mobile apps and services at the expense of rivaling solutions. Google is to start charging Android manufacturers for the right to pre-install its mobile applications in Europe as it seeks to comply with an EU antitrust ruling it is in the process of appealing.
