Sling TV Brings Cloud DVR to Chromecast, Xbox One & More Platforms

Sling TV announced today that it is bringing its Cloud DVR feature over to more platforms, which include Chrome, Chromecast , Xbox One, and select Smart TVs. Sling TV's Cloud DVR had been available on a few other platforms already - including Android and iOS - so it's good to see it coming to more platforms now.

Sling TV is a popular standalone online TV streaming service. The Dish-owned service has now announced that its cloud DVR service will be available on more devices. The feature allows subscribers to save shows that they want to watch later in the cloud. The idea here is the same as a traditional DVR with the major difference being that your recordings are saved in the cloud and not in a box that sits below your television.
