Toyota Might Finally Support Android Auto

Many car manufacturers have added support for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Toyota is one of the few manufacturers that haven't opened up to Google's in-car platform as yet even though it does support Apple CarPlay. Google may soon get some love from Toyota as a new report mentions that the Japanese auto giant will finally add support for Android Auto.

Google continues to take steps to further promote its Daydream virtual reality platform. The company has now announced that it's adding the ability to open any smartphone Android app on a Daydream VR device. This will allow users to open their favorite apps and games in virtual reality.
Google describes this new feature as “experimental” and it's meant to be tested by developers. This feature enables Daydream headsets to open Android smartphone apps in virtual reality. The phone UI versions of apps, games, tools, and more will thus be opened in a larger VR space. Users will experience them...
