OnePlus Changes 6T Launch Date Because It Can't Compete With Apple

5 monthes ago   |   By Android Headlines

In short: After announcing that the OnePlus 6T would be officially unveiled on October 30, the company has decided that it needs to change that date, and move it up a day. Now, the OnePlus 6T will be announced on October 29 instead. Why? Well, Apple announced that it was holding an event in Brooklyn, New York on October 30, likely to announce some new iPads. A few weeks ago, on October 8, OnePlus officially confirmed that it would be holding a press event on October 30 to announce the OnePlus 6T. But yesterday, in a move that OnePlus seemingly didn't expect, Apple began sending out invites to an event that is set to be held on the exact same date.

OnePlus 6T launch date has changed because, you know, Apple

The next OnePlus launch date has officially been moved to October 29, a day earlier than the company originally announced, proving it's hard to compete with Apple. The OnePlus 6T launch event was scheduled for October 30 at 11am ET in New York until Apple pounced on that same date in the same city an hour earlier at 10am. Instead of conflicting with the expected iPad Pro 2018 launch event, OnePlus changed their date to 24 hours earlier, at 11am on October 29. "After deep reflection, we have decided to move the OnePlus 6T Launch Event in New York City to October 29," said the OnePlus Team...
