Instagram has announced that it's offering a new service called IGTV for long-form videos, from professional Instagram creators at an event in San Francisco Wednesday morning, reports Variety. The new service will be situated both within the main Instagram app, as well as via a dedicated app for iOS and Android. “It's mobile first, it's simple and it's high quality,” shared Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom.

Instagram has introduced hour-long video uploads with IGTV, its new service for creators and users to help drive video use on the platform with more people. IGTV was pushed out to mobile devices as a standalone app but it can also be accessed through the main Instagram application, and although the interface looks exactly the same as the IGTV app when open it this way, it stays within Instagram so when you back out you'll be taken to your feed where you can continue browsing other content.
