‘Samsung Max' Mobile Data Saving App Hits The Play Store

The South Korean tech giant Samsung has just launched the Samsung Max, an application that helps users to protect their privacy and reduce data consumption. This software replaces the Opera Max application, a virtual private network service that was discontinued in August 2017. The Samsung Max app offers two key features, which are the Data Saving Mode and the Privacy Protection Mode. Samsung has revealed a new, free Android app - Samsung Max, which it says is "designed to promote mobile data savings and application privacy management". The app replaces Opera Max and anyone with this app currently installed should find that it automatically updates to Samsung Max. While Opera Max included a fully-fledged VPN tool, Samsung Max downgrades this to a DNS-masking service.
