Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) starts receiving Android 8.0 Oreo, but don't get your hopes up

It looks like the Galaxy A3 (2017) is the next Samsung smartphone to receive the long-awaited Android 8.0 Oreo update. But it's not the only Samsung handset to get the update before the Galaxy S7/S7 edge, as some of you might remember that another Galaxy A series phone, namely the Galaxy A5 (2017), received the same treatment last week.
However, if you're a proud owner of a Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) don't get your hopes up, as this seems more like a limited rollout with just one country on the list of regions where Android Oreo is available for download, rather than a global deployment.

All major carriers in the United States announced they have successfully deployed the Android 8.0 Oreo update for Samsung Galaxy Note 8. However, if you've bought your Samsung phablet from T-Mobile, you might be in for an unpleasant surprise.
If you did not receive the update in early April when T-Mobile kicked off the Android Oreo roll-out, then chances are you won't be able to upgrade your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 yet.
