As expected, Apple released iOS 12.1 today, adding several new features to the company's mobile operating system. Among them are Group FaceTime, which supports up to a 32-way group video chat on models ranging from the Apple iPhone 6s to the new 2018 iPhones. Apple confirmed recently that the next major update for its mobile platform, iOS 12.1, is going to be released on October 30th. Apple today released tvOS 12 .1, the second update to the tvOS 12 operating system designed for the fourth and fifth-generation Apple TV models. tvOS 12.1 comes just over a month after the release of tvOS 12.0.1 and six weeks after the September launch of tvOS 12 .

Apple today released iOS 12 .1, the first major update to the iOS 12 operating system designed for the iPhone and the iPad. iOS 12.1 comes more than a month after the September release of iOS 12 and a few weeks after iOS 12.0.1 , a bug fix update.
The update is available on all eligible devices over-the-air in the Settings app. To access the update, go to Settings -> General -> Software Update. As with all iOS updates, iOS 12.1 is free to download.
Today's update adds quite a bit of new functionality to iOS devices, especially Apple's newest models, the iPhone XS , XS Max, and XR.
