While we all knew ditching bezels would continue to be a trend in 2018, many hoped that the notch wouldn't come along with that. Unfortunately, it has, but some companies are actually trying to think past the notch. Now, after showing off a concept at MWC, Vivo is delivering the NEX which goes all in on all-screen.

Some of you might remember that Vivo showcased an impressive concept smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in February this year called the Apex. It had a notch-free bezel-less display in the true sense of the word with a screen-to-body-ratio of more than 90 percent. Since the device didn't have a notch where the front camera could be placed, Vivo opted for a motorized solution which makes the selfie camera pop out from the top bezel. That concept is now reality in the form of its new smartphone, the Vivo Nex.
