With the release of the new Apple iPhone X, many owners of the device have been waiting for a way to get that extra boost in battery power. With previous models, the Mophie company has released battery cases that attach to the smartphone and give extra power. While there had not been such a case released for the iPhone X, it appears a new product listing has leaked that promises there will be soon.

Apple appears to have designed a gold iPhone X, according to documents filed with the United States Federal Communications Commission.
When releasing a new device, smartphone companies must share details with the FCC, which Apple did for the iPhone X in September of 2017. In the document, Apple appears to have used an iPhone X in a gold colorway that was not ultimately released.

FCC appears to leak photos of gold iPhone X

This seems a little too good to be true, but the FCC appears to have published photos of a gold iPhone X. Dated from last September and released earlier in April, these photos show an iPhone X unmistakably in an unreleased gold finish.
The prototype device has rich gold stainless steel frame and a lighter gold glass back, which appears to match the gold shade seen in iPhone 8.
