Back in January Nintendo just very nonchalantly announced that the classic puzzle series Dr. Mario would be heading to mobile devices sometime this summer in a new free to play game called Dr. Mario World. Perhaps most interesting about the announcement was that Nintendo is partnering up with their third third party developer for Dr. Mario World in chat juggernaut LINE, following previous partnerships with Cygames on Dragalia Lost and DeNA on Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and Super Mario Run. Nintendo's Dr. Mario World coming to Android and iOS in July

Nintendo's next mobile game is coming sooner than we expected. The Japanese company has just announced that Dr. Mario World will be making its debut on Android and iOS no later than July 10, and, more importantly, it will be free to play. Obviously, there will be in-app purchases, but those will be entirely optional.
Dr. Mario World is a match-3 puzzle type of game with a twist where players must match capsules with viruses. Basically, you'll have to match three objects of the same color vertically or horizontally to clear them, using Dr. Mario's virus-busting skills.

Nintendo announced today that Dr. Mario World will launch for iOS and Android on July 10th. The game was first announced in January, with Nintendo touting that “action puzzle” game would be released globally during the summer of 2019.

Nintendo's newest mobile game, Dr. Mario World, is set to launch on iOS and Android devices on Wednesday, July 10, Nintendo announced on Twitter this evening.
First announced in January, Dr. Mario World is based on the 1990 puzzle game Dr. Mario that tasked players with arranging different colored pills as they fell from the top of the screen to clear them from the game board and eliminate viruses.
