Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ on T-Mobile receive the August Android security update

Nearly a week ago, T-Mobile disseminated an update for its version of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. Besides exterminating a few irksome bugs, the update included the July Android security update. So now it's only a few days later and the carrier is pushing out another software update for the pair. Software version G960USQS3ARG8 is heading to the Galaxy S9 and version G965USQS3ARG8 is enroute to the Galaxy S9+.

When Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 9 earlier this month, the company confirmed one particular rumor that had been swirling ahead of its announcement, as the device will have a version with one terabyte of storage space - 512GB internal memory and another 512GB via microSD support. While Apple has long eschewed microSD support, a new rumor suggests that the iPhone X's 2018 model will also have a version with 512GB internal storage, an unprecedented amount of space for the long-running smartphone line.

Samsung's website is currently selling the Galaxy S8 64GB for just $350. That's $250 off of its regular price. Only the T-Mobile version is on sale for $350, unfortunately. So this is only going to work for T-Mobile customers. Other models are discounted as well, but they are less than $100 off of the regular price. This is not unlocked, and it will be tough to unlock - as T-Mobile does not have these IMEI's in their database.
