The RED Hydrogen One recently passed through the certification process of the Federal Communications Commission, more than a year after the tech firm initially announced the smartphone. The submitted test documents show that the device will support connectivity features like 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy. Furthermore, the test reports indicate that the handset can connect to 2G GSM and 3G WCDMA networks, and it also supports most of the LTE bands used by the four national carriers in the United States. Just in time for the scheduled release this month, the RED Hydrogen One has just received its FCC certification in the US, confirming some spec details and also showcasing some images of the final design.
In terms of the hardware, the certification listing confirms that a hefty 4,510mAh battery will be included in order to keep the holographic display on. Additionally, the smartphone will ship with dual-SIM capabilities and appears to be compatible with all LTE bands in the US except for T-Mobile's Band 71.
