Telstra's exclusive 5G smartphones will arrive before any other Aussie telco

As the race to deliver the next generation of mobile data speeds toward the finish line, Telstra has promised that it will be the first telco in Australia to offer 5G handsets to its customers. The announcement was made at CES 2019 , with Telstra claiming that it has made “agreements to deliver exclusive access to 5G commercial smartphones in the first half of 2019”, and is able to do so “thanks to partnerships with some of the world's biggest vendors”.
