Huawei does it again, passes off a professional photo as a selfie from its new phone

Thanks to Samsung's decision to use stock photos and pawn them off as pictures snapped with the front-facing dual cameras on the Galaxy A8 (2018), we blew the dust off a similar story from July 2016 that featured Huawei. In that case, Huawei employed a $2,600 Cannon camera outfitted with a $1,900 lens, and insinuated that the shots came from the dual Leica cameras on the Huawei P9. And today, a behind the scenes photo reveals that Huawei has once again employed the same trick to promote the brand new Nova 3.

Advertising can often be deceptive, and it's no different for smartphones. Once in a while, someone gets caught trying to play tricks in smartphone ads, and Huawei has done this multiple times. Recently, an ad for the Nova 3i was given a bit more context, and the result is pretty embarrassing for Huawei.
